Vyborg Shipyard lays down yet another freezing trawler for Arkhangelsk Trawl Fleet (graphics, photo)
On 3 April 2018, Vyborg Shipyard (a company of Russia’s United Shipbuilding Corporation) laid down the third freezing trawler of Project КМТ01 for Arkhangelsk Trawl Fleet JSC, says Marine Engineering Bureau.
The series will number 4 trawlers of Project КМТ01 designed by Marine Engineering Bureau – Design – SPb.
The ship is intended for catching bottom fish, processing and freezing of the catch on board the ship.
Main particulars: LOA – about 86 m; breadth – 17.0 m; depth to main deck – 6.75 m; depth to trawl deck – 10.1 m; maximum draft – 8.9 m; speed – 15 knots; main engine power – 6,000 kW; bow thruster power – 850 kW; freezing hold capacity – about 2,000 cbm; fish meal hold capacity – about 400 cbm; RS class notation - KM Ice3 AUT1 (REF) Fishing Vessel.
Supposed areas of operation – North Atlantic, Barents Sea, Norwegian Sea, Greenland Sea.
Ship's electric powerplant: two diesel generators of 900 kW and 500 kW and a shaft generator of 3,200 kW. Emergency diesel generator – about 300 kW.
It will be fitted with powerful cargo cranes, a trawl complex of the latest generation and an automatic palletizing system of products in the hold to minimize the time for unloading the catches.
Equipment for bottom trawling as well as anchor and mooring mechanism will be supplied by Ibercisa.
Accommodation will be provided to 49 crewmembers.
The ship will also be fitted with radio, navigation and fish searching equipment.
The lead ship of Project КМТ01 was laid down on 31 May 2017, the second vessel of the project – on 26 January 2018.
Vyborg Shipyard PJSC (part of state-owned United Shipbuilding Corporation from 2012) is one of the largest shipbuilding companies of the North-Western Region of Russia.
