Hanseaticsoft rolls out its Cloud Fleet Manager, next-generation ship management solution at Europort 2019
Hamburg, Germany headquartered Hanseaticsoft GmbH (part of the Lloyd's Register Group) has introduced Cloud Fleet Manager, the web-based all-in-one software that will help handle all the tasks that the shipping companies have to solve. The tasks include crewing, chartering, scheduling, etc., all of the activity that needs to be done by the shipping companies. The system collects all the necessary information and reduce the effort for data exchange.
Max Hagemann, Head of PR & Marketing, Hanseaticsoft in an interview with IAA PortNews on the sidelines of the EUROPORT 2019 in Rotterdam, has told that the special feature of this ship management solution is that it is a completely cloud-based application.
“This is a cloud-based application and it does not require any installations on your PC. You just open up your browser, log in all your details and you can simply start working,” Max Hagemann said.
He says that Cloud Fleet Manager is good for using on desktops and tablets since smartphones would be too small to display all data. However, the company also offers smartphone applications, among them inspection reporting or purchases. Inspection Report lets the client conveniently conduct inspections on board using a mobile device. While auditing, the client simply adds photos, videos, comments or voice notes to the report. Whether iOS or Android, smartphone or tablet it's easy to execute inspections.
Inspection Report and Cloud Fleet Manager are synchronized with one click and the detailed findings will be available for colleagues. Due to the integration of the Inspection Report into Cloud Ship Manager, the application that is installed on board the vessels, the ship's crew is immediately informed about the results of inspections and can instantly act. Besides, the inspection report can be completed on the client's tablet or smartphone. The procedure is paperless and does not require using cameras. There is no need for an active internet connection for auditing. All data is provided offline. Synchronization starts as soon as an active data connection is provided. As a result the mobile solution saves a lot of time.
“We have different packages that all contain different modules, but of course not every company needs all of them. You choose the ones that you need and pay for them. You don't have to buy all package. Just say, I need the Inspection Report, or Crewing application, may be Purchase. And if you see you need more, you just book extra,” says Mr. Hagemann.
The advantage of this system is that it is cloud-based. Max Hagemann continues: “Since the Internet is not available on board all the time at sea we install the application onboard that you can work productively and as soon as the Internet available the onboard application and the office application exchange data, so everybody knows all the time what's happening. Once again, you don't need to write e-mails to ship, or call the vessel to ask information. You can just look into the system”.
Max Hagemann added that Hanseaticsoft does not have any customers in Russia at the moment, but definitely the market is seen as very promising to his company.
