RF Ministry of Industry and Trade announces tender for documentation on construction of Leader icebreaker
RF Ministry of Industry and Trade has announced a competition for implementation of R&D project “Development of approval documentation for construction of a Leader icebreaker of Project 10510”. According to competition materials, maximum price of the contract is as high as RUB 380 million.
The bid closing date - 29 November 2018. The bids are to be considered on 30 November 2018.
Icebreaker of project 10510, Leader, is intended for escorting large single ships and convoys of ships as well as for round-the-year maintenance of a navigation canal in ice-covered waters of the Arctic.
Key characteristics of the icebreaker: length - 209 m; width – 47.7 m; displacement (full) – 69,000 tonnes; power – up to 120 MW.
The ship is to break through fast field ice of up to 2 meters thick with a speed of 12 knots and fast field ice of 4 meters thick with a speed of 2 knots. The design is being developed by Krylov State Research Centre and domestic design bureaus.
