Port of Singapore throughput in 9M’18 grew by 0.9% Y-o-Y to 470.49 million tonnes
Freight traffic at the Port of Singapore in January-September 2018, increased by 0.9% compared to the corresponding period of 2017 to 470.49 million tonnes, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore provisional figures show.
Handling of oil cargo fell by 5% to 163.51 million tonnes, dry bulk cargo – down 6.2% to 12.87 million tonnes million tonnes.
Container traffic grew by 10.2% to 27.3 million TEUs.
Singapore is the city-state located on an island in the South-East Asia. In 2017, the port handled 626.17 million tonnes of cargo.
