Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg “Marine Façade” PLC says it is implementing a project to establish a maritime passenger shipping company in St. Petersburg within the frames of the approved 2017-2021 Plan of Production and Financial and Economic Activities.
The establishing of the shipping company will help to increase the cruise passenger flow, including the citizens of the Russian Federation who take cruises departing from St. Petersburg. The implementation of the project will facilitate fulfilling the order of the President of the Russian Federation that was given following the meeting of the State Council Presidium on the inbound tourism development, which was held on August 17, 2015.
As part of the project activities, the Passenger Port of St. Petersburg hosted a working meeting between G. Poltavchenko, the Governor of St. Petersburg, and A. Following the mandate of the President of the Russian Federation, the Government of St. Petersburg referred to the Government of the Russian Federation a business plan for the maritime passenger shipping company to be established in St. Petersburg.
