    Крупнейший британский портовый оператор Associated British Ports (АВР) завершила сделку по приобретению компании W.E. Dowds (Shipping) Ltd. В сообщении ABP сумма сделки не разглашается.

    Компания W.E. Dowds (Shipping) Ltd., (cоздана в 1960 году) является одним из ведущих в Великобритании семейным предприятием, связанным с портовой деятельностью. Компания управляет работой 10 отдельных складов общей площадью более 50 тыс. кв.м, расположенных в порту ABP Newport (Южный Уэльс).

    Группа Associated British Ports (ABP) является ведущим портовым оператором Великобритании, в управлении которого находятся 21 порт Англии, Шотландии и Уэльса. В их числе порт Иммингем, один из лидирующих по объемам обрабатываемых грузов, и порт Саутгемптон, второй по величине порт в Европе и второй в Великобритании по контейнерообороту, а также первый порт по обработке автомобилей и количеству пассажиров круизных линий. Компании группы также занимаются перевалкой железнодорожных грузов на ж/д терминале Hams Hall Rail Terminal, агентированием судов, дноуглубительными работами (UK Dredging Ltd) и предоставлением консалтинговых услуг (ABPmer). Ежегодные отчисления в экономику Великобритании от предприятий ABP составляют 5,6 млрд фунтов.
